The name “Coldwater Cafe” came from the nickname of founder Betty Peachey’s late father “Coldwater Joe” Peachey, who came from a small valley in Pennsylvania. In the front of the home where he was reared ran a creek and this area became known as Coldwater.
When the Cafe opened in February of 1994, it was a risk that offered success or failure. Family and close friends helped to make the dream a reality.
Spectacular Meal and Service!
“It was a great pleasure to have dined at your cafe a couple of weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful place in such a small town. Neither of us ever touched any extra seasonings. Everything was perfect as served.”
“Last Friday I had an opportunity to dine at your cafe. Your atmosphere, service, food quality and presentation is as good as it gets anywhere! What a first class operation you have!”
“The best kept secret in Dayton…service is as good as any I got in Europe. Iced tea is the best I have ever had. Nothing on the menu is less than 5 stars!”
